Joshua Tree National Park

Saturday was a good day, no wind and about 70 degrees as we took a drive to Joshua Tree. We drove on a long route though the park from Joshua Tree to Indio through Cottonwood Springs. In the center we stop for a hike around Barker Dam where there are springs of water in the dessert. The dam was built long ago by cowboys to capture water for their cattle. Along the path was an area of petroglyphs up in a rock cavern, very cool.
