Thanksgiving was quite eventful this year with our new addition to our family Krislynn Elizabeth Higgins; truly a time of gratefulness with her homecoming after 5 days in the hospital. The good report was the doctors couldn't find anything wrong. So we Praise the Lord for His Goodness to both the John and Kristen but to all of us for this special provision this year.
This year we had our Thanksgiving feast at home and joining us were Dan and Bonnie McKinney (Kathleen's parents) as well as Matt, Jen and Gemma along with John, Kristen and Annabelle and little sister Krisalynn. We had our normal selection of foods with an additional one that we grew fond of while visiting IKEA several times in Slovakia...its very much like our traditional cranberry but a bit sweeter and the berries are smaller its called Lingonsylt; if you get to an IKEA sometime; pick some up they are great.....

Steve and I were off this week for the main purpose of reconstruction of our bath/shower unit; which although looks nice wasn't the easiest of things to do; in the process of trying to be an additional worker on "his crew" my hip gave me a bit of trouble making it difficult to maneuver this Thanksgiving; but somehow I managed to finish my cleaning before the "gang" arrived, only by God's grace I might mention....the work project had to go on... for our next event, the arrival of our family from Slovakia Patrick, Ivetka, Gabriel and David are coming very soon and they need the facilities...we have been working fast and furious for the past several weeks but we are now down to our last two...it's showtime...

During our week off we also had a very special visitor from Navajo Land, Helen Yahtzee; a blessed saint of the Lord who shared her heart and her laughter with us all. We were able to host a reception for her supporters in California and I think we had about 40 people in and out the house the Sunday afternoon before Thanksgiving...It was a great time of fellowship and food and while she was here she spoke with the ladies from my Bible Study as well on "God's Love"...we shared a mini Thanksgiving meal together and enjoyed our fellowship in Christ. It was a special week because of the imprint that she has left upon our lives...My prayer is that each of us will do the same, that our lives would so imprint and impact those we come in contact with; those we share our lives with...
Thank you Jesus for the Love of family and our Brothers and Sisters in Christ...
